Calculate distance between two points in 2D and 3D space
Every coffee helps keep the servers running. Every book sale funds the next tool I'm dreaming up. You're not just supporting a site — you're helping me build what developers actually need.
In 2D, distance = √[(x₂−x₁)² + (y₂−y₁)²]. In 3D, distance = √[(x₂−x₁)² + (y₂−y₁)² + (z₂−z₁)²]. The tool shows each step.
The midpoint in 2D is ((x₁+x₂)/2, (y₁+y₂)/2). In 3D it is ((x₁+x₂)/2, (y₁+y₂)/2, (z₁+z₂)/2). Use the Midpoint tab to compute it directly.
Enter coordinates in the same units. The result is in those units; you can input decimals for higher precision.
