Guidance for NIST Staff on Using Inclusive Language in Documentary Standards
NIST announces the publication of Guidance for NIST Staff on Using Inclusive Language in Documentary Standards (NISTIR 8366). It was created primarily for the benefit of NIST staff experts who participate in the development of documentary standards as expert collaborators and leaders. Because NIST authors often work with industry standards development organizations (SDOs), the technical agency has made the guidance available to the public.
NIST Announces Funding for 2021 Standards Curricula Development Program
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) plans to award funding for cooperative agreements for curricula development that will educate students about the impact, nature, and value of standards and standardization so they develop a strong understanding and appreciation for the role of standards in the domestic and global marketplace. The deadline to submit applications is June 1, 2021.
