Python has a Developer-in-Residence!

The PSF and the Python Steering Council are pleased to announce that the inaugural Developer-in-Residence role will be held by core developer Łukasz Langa. If you are interested in learning more, read Łukasz' announcement and the first community update for the week of July 12 - 18! (going forward updates will be on discuss.python.org)

PSF Bylaw vote ends July 23 12:00 UTC

The PSF sent out a second ballot this year for two bylaw changes. These updates pertain to limits on co-affiliations for board members and broadening who can approve Fellow members (i.e. our Fellow WG). Voting will close July 23rd at 12:00 UTC.

If you are a voting member, please check your inbox for an email from no-reply@mail.heliosvoting.org. If you cannot locate it, please email psf-election@python.org.

The PSF Board Election Results are in!

On June 18th, the PSF announced the 2021 Python Software Foundation Board of Directors election results!

Of 1,538 eligible voters, 599 ballots were cast. This constitutes the necessary 1/3 quorum of membership.

The three top votegetters are:

2021 Python Language Summit

Curious what happened at the Python Language Summit this year? You are in luck because all of the write ups are now complete!
