    OpenDNSSEC 2.1.9 release is available which fixes issues with HSMs in specific setups & configurations.

    OpenDNSSEC 2.1.9 has been released with two changes that prevent problems with certain HSM configurations, one of which is SoftHSMv2 in database back-end mode. See for more information and downloads .

    Maybe ISOC's MANRS but it does not provide the enabling tech in the same way as orgs like Let's Encrypt. But orgs like & RIRs like all have played a role as foundational enablers - such as open source s/w to deploy RPKI or svc for hosting ROAs

    There is a release candidate for OpenDNSSEC 2.1.9 available at: This release fixes some problems with certain HSM configurations (incl. SoftHSMv2). We already received some positive results, so release will be after a week if no other things come up.

    Thanks to a friendly prod, I've now fully enabled unbound on the home network as my upstream DNS resolver This way I control all requests, get them from the horse's mouth, and hopefully make it harder to track what we do at home.
