You can sign in or create a new account with Google with just a few clicks.
- On the Medium homepage, click Sign in in the top-right corner to sign in to your existing Medium account or Get started to create a new account.
- Choose Sign in with Google.
- Authorize Google to access your Google account.
- Click Ok to be redirected to Medium and signed in to your account.
- Open the Medium iOS app.
- Tap Sign in with Google.
- Authorize Medium to access your Google account.
- Click Ok to be redirected to Medium and signed in to your account.
- Open the Medium Android app.
- Tap Sign in with Google.
- Authorize Medium to access your Google account.
- Click Ok to be redirected to Medium and signed in to your account.
Troubleshooting
Why can’t I sign in to my account?
It's possible you've created multiple Medium accounts using different social media accounts or email addresses.
Make sure that your browser is logged in to the Twitter or Facebook account that you used to create your Medium account, or you are using the email address with which you originally signed up.
You can verify which account you are logged in to by visiting Twitter.com or Facebook.com.
What if I lose access to my Google account?
You can always sign in with the email address associated with your Medium account, even if you've lost access to the Google account.
Once you've signed back in, go to your Settings page and remove or update your linked social media accounts.
