SIAM News, the newsjournal of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), covers cutting-edge research and the state of the art in applied mathematics and computational science. Reporting on novel applications of mathematics and new uses of mathematical methods in numerous areas from medicine to climate modeling, SIAM News is intended for both SIAM members and the overall community served by SIAM. Broader and less technical articles may appeal to general readers with an interest in the mathematical sciences. SIAM News also details areas related to science policy, professional development, mathematics education, and trends in the discipline, all of which are bound to be of interest to educators, policy makers, and those in regulatory and administrative roles.
