September 10. Yerevan, Armenia. Daiva Tamulioniene, the manager of the Lithuanian ccTLD, and Katrina Sataki, the CEO of NIC.lv visited ISOC Armenia Office.

September 9-10. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC AM was a partner of ccTLD.ru in the TLDCON-2015 conference. I.Mkrtumyan was one of the speakers at the opening of the conference and made a presentation on the Armenian IDN at the IDN session. K.Babajanyan made a presentation on the operations of the leading Armenian registrar.

September 7-8. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC AM was a co-organizer of the 1st Armenian Internet Governance Forum. ISOC AM members made several presentations. The event was widely commented by Internet, mass media and TV.

July 23, 2015. ICANN, USA. The “Proposal for Armenian Script Root Zone Label Generation Rules (LGR)” was posted for public comments to allow those who have not participated in the Armenian GP to make their views known to the Armenian Generation Panel.

ISOC Armenia participated in the Safer Internet Armenia 2015 program (Open Lessons and Parent-Teacher Meetings in Armenian schools) implemented by Media Education Center and Orange Armenia. On April 12, 2015 winners of the Safer Internet Armenia 2015 Competition have been announced for the Best Internet Safety Open Lesson and the Best Internet Safety Teacher-Parents Meeting.

April 7, 2015, Moscow, Russia. ISOC AM Board member, Lianna Galstyan, took part in the 6th Russian IGF.

March 26, 2015 . Yerevan, Armenia. The ArmNet 2015 traditional annual conference sponsored by Orange Armenia and ISOC AM will start on April 4, 2015. This time it is devoted to mobile applications. Within the framework of the conference the ArmNet Awards 2015 contest of the best web sites and mobile applications was announced. Participants of the “ArmNet Awards 2015” compete in the following categories: Innovation, Best Content, Design and Usability, Social Impact. Grand Prix will be awarded for Best Mobile Application and Best Website. The Jury of "ArmNet Awards 2015" will examine and evaluate all websites and mobile applications submitted for the contest, announcing the nominees in each category on the 30th of March. The results of the contest will be announced on the 4th of April, at the official awards ceremony. The results will be announced on www.armnet.am website.

February 20, 2015, Yerevan, Armenia. The first meeting of the multistakeholder Internet Governance Forum Working Group (IGF WG) took place in the Ministry of Transport and Communication of the RA. The ISOC AM was designated as a secretariat of the WG and ISOC AM VP Grigori Saghyan – as a secretary of the WG. Participants should send their proposals on the plan of actions of the WG. One of the main tasks of the WG is the organization of regular Armenian IGFs.
IGF WG mailing list was created and igf.am domain registered.

February 23, 2015, ICANN, USA. ISOC AM took part in the CWG survey of ccTLD community on IANA transition. The results are published on the following link: http://ianaso.org/CWG/summary.html. ISOC opinion on IANA transition can be expressed in the following way:
ISOC AM is comfortable with ICANN as a policymaker and being the IANA operator. ISOC AM beleive that as a multistakeholder organization it has inherent capacityto create its own accountability mechanisms. So there is no need of external oversight.

April 7, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia. Media Education Center and Internet Society of Armenia organized a workshop on IGF. Over 40 students of the Yerevan State University Departments of International Relations,Telecommunications, Journalism, Informatics and Applied Mathematics participated in a workshop on public policy issues related to Internet governance. The workshop was followed by the simultaneous broadcast of the Fifth Russian Internet Governance Forum. Issues related to privacy, cybersecurity, cross-border jurisdiction, net neutrality discussed during the workshop. The students received the DiploFoundation's Book Introduction to Internet Governance 5th edition (Armenian version).

November 30, 2013, Vanadzor, Armenia. ISOC AM president I.Mkrtumyan, Board member Tigran Zargaryan and ISOC AM member Vahan Misakyan took part in the graduation ceremony of the first group of the "Young technician" project carried out by Vanadzor regional Internet center (ISOC Community grantee) under the management of ISOC AM member Margarita Solomonyan and ISOC AM. Within the framework of the project teenagers are learning computer hardware, repair, OS installation, LAN setup and Internet literacy. ISOC AM provided old computers and other hardware to the project. Young technicians are reviving them and providing to regional libraries and other regional organizations. Vahan Misakyan is a trainer of the project. The best graduates were presented with ISOC flash memory and "Internet Governance" book in Armenian.

February 23, 2013, Yerevan. Annual meeting of ISOC AM (Photos). More than 80 members were present. Igor Mkrtumyan, ISOC AM president, made a report on the work done by ISOC AM on 2010-2012. The report was approved. I. Mkrtumyan was reelected as President of ISOC AM for 3 more years. 5 new Board members were elected:

May 2010. RIPE. AMNIC (ITC) got an AS number from RIPE.

June 30, 2009. Yerevan, Armenia. AM zone Improper Content Response Group was established in Armenia. If a content violating AM zone policy (https://www.amnic.net/policy/en/) is found in AM zone a mail can be sent to this working group. The letter will be considered and proper measures taken.

July 2008. ICANN, USA. The ISOC AM became a member of ccNSO of ICANN.

November 12-14, 2007. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC AM hosted the NATO/ISOC Workshop “Armenian National Research and Education Networks: Achievements, Problems and Solutions”.

May 2007. Internet Society, USA. ISOC AM became a Chapter of ISOC.

April 2007. ICANN, USA. ISOC AM exchanged accountability framework letters with ICANN.

July 2006. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC Armenia filed an application to the global ISOC to become an ISOC Chapter.

2006. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC AM received a grant of OSI for creation of a center for mobile consultants (e-riders).

2005. Yerevan, Armenia.ISOC AM received a grant of OSI for training network administrators for schools.

Feb 27, 2003, Frankfurt, Germany, ISOC AM became a full member of CENTR.

January 2000. Yerevan, Armenia. AmIUG was renamed into ISOC AM.

November 1998. Yerevan, Armenia. AmIUG applied for CEEnet membership.

1997. IANA, USA. AmIUG received the rights to manage the AM TLD domain from IANA.

September 1996. Yerevan, Armenia. By the agreement with Arminco and a decision of AmIUG Board the AMNIC was incorporated into the AmIUG.

October 1994. Yerevan, Armenia. Armenia Network Information Center (AMNIC) was established in Arminco by Edgar Danielyantz.

October 1994. Yerevan, Armenia. The Armenian Internet Useres Group NGO (AmIUG, later renamed into ISOC AM) was founded and registered at the Ministry of Justice of Armenia.

October 1993. Yerevan, Armenia. An initiative group for founding the Armenian Internet Useres Group (AmIUG) was created and started developing the Charter.
