As predicted years ago, the pool of IPv4 addresses was depleted at the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) in early 2011. For the Internet to continue growing and to satisfy the requirements of additional users, devices, and content, Internet Service Providers and network operators must deploy IPv6. Additionally, as the security of the Domain Name System (DNS) is critical, network operators and ISPs need to understand how they can deploy DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC).
