@MrAndrew I'll be up in front of Leveson next.
Seeing a map i helped make looked at by a tube carriage full of people is weird...interesting to see reactions! pic.twitter.com/JCwVzasc

@EdThink get address point data & run a search for fried chicken establishments.

New map shows London's languages as seen on Twitter http://bit.ly/T9YLXZ
@nickjaustin Yes, I saw something CASA had done with ODPM but was done back in 2002. I've asked Mike Batty if he knows data/method behind it
@geographyjim Thanks, that looks good, I'll see if I can find a contact.
@sociablephysics Good point, I'll email him.
Anyone know the best source of data on town/retail centre locations in London? OSM is close, but lacks the reliability I'm after..
@mikesimarta It's within Google's algorithm, not sure how/if it works well. Combined they rank above Portuguese but doing so risky territory
Really neat maps. The languages of London's Twittersphere: http://urbanmovements.posterous.com/detecting-languages-in-londons-twittersphere … @international @moderators
@jonobennett Yep, I suppose they might be pruning. Latter dataset appears to have been updated on 22Oct.
@jonobennett I see, does this apply to all shp files? Had same issue at http://download.geofabrik.de/openstreetmap/
@jonobennett This is the shapefile planet.osm download, from http://metro.teczno.com/#london
@jonobennett Shop nodes in London is main thing for me. 64 in planetOSM file for whole of London, 55 in small OSM test region. Strange?
