Setup: Connect a sitestream connection for 100 users. Have confirmed that the friends event was received. Have confirmed that the heartbeat is being received.
Problem: Some users no long have their fav and retweet events (of their own events) being sent over the connection. I suspect that it's likely the case that all events have stopped for the user.
Restarting the connection resolves the issue. This is not a workable solution though, as there's no way to identify what sitestream connections need restarting.
I'm not sure if the connection stops sending events for all users but keeps sending the heartbeat, or if individual user's event cease.
This occurs to users with a lot of followers and few followers. I'm receiving reports from 2 - 3 users a day, but I suspect many more are affected by this who aren't noticing or are not telling me.
I am not able to reproduce this at will, but given notice I could inform an engineer of a user the problem is occurring for and hold off on reseting the connection if that will help diagnose the problem.
