Why was the Twitter widgets page removed?

Why was the Twitter widgets page removed?

I can find a lot of new info on the new branding guidelines, but no info explaining the disappearing of the widgets page https://twitter.com/about/resources/widgets. Are all Twitter widgets discontinued?

Also, the new page with twitter buttons for websites is not accessible: https://twitter.com/about/resources/buttons
Does anyone know how to access the widgets or buttons pages?
