Overview

Package eventbridgev2 provides the API client, operations, and parameter types for Amazon EventBridgeV2.

Amazon EventBridge event bus API. An event bus receives events published by your applications and AWS services, stores them for a configurable retention period, and delivers them to subscribers. A subscriber filters events, optionally transforms them, and invokes a target such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, Step Functions, or an HTTP endpoint. The API manages event buses, subscribers, event sources, resource policies, and tags, and publishes events through PutEvents and PutRawEvents.

func WithAPIOptions

func WithAPIOptions(optFns ...func(*middleware.Stack) error) func(*Options)

WithAPIOptions returns a functional option for setting the Client's APIOptions option.

func WithEndpointResolver deprecated

func WithEndpointResolver(v EndpointResolver) func(*Options)

Deprecated: EndpointResolver and WithEndpointResolver. Providing a value for this field will likely prevent you from using any endpoint-related service features released after the introduction of EndpointResolverV2 and BaseEndpoint.

To migrate an EndpointResolver implementation that uses a custom endpoint, set the client option BaseEndpoint instead.

func WithEndpointResolverV2

func WithEndpointResolverV2(v EndpointResolverV2) func(*Options)

WithEndpointResolverV2 returns a functional option for setting the Client's EndpointResolverV2 option.

func WithSigV4SigningName

func WithSigV4SigningName(name string) func(*Options)

WithSigV4SigningName applies an override to the authentication workflow to use the given signing name for SigV4-authenticated operations.

This is an advanced setting. The value here is FINAL, taking precedence over the resolved signing name from both auth scheme resolution and endpoint resolution.

func WithSigV4SigningRegion

func WithSigV4SigningRegion(region string) func(*Options)

WithSigV4SigningRegion applies an override to the authentication workflow to use the given signing region for SigV4-authenticated operations.

This is an advanced setting. The value here is FINAL, taking precedence over the resolved signing region from both auth scheme resolution and endpoint resolution.

Types

type Client

type Client struct {
	// contains filtered or unexported fields
}

Client provides the API client to make operations call for Amazon EventBridgeV2.

func New

NewFromConfig returns a new client from the provided config.

func (*Client) CreateEventBus

func (c *Client) CreateEventBus(ctx context.Context, params *CreateEventBusInput, optFns ...func(*Options)) (*CreateEventBusOutput, error)

Creates an event bus. Provisioning is asynchronous: the bus is returned in the CREATING state and transitions to ACTIVE when ready (see the EventBusActive waiter). Retries carrying the same ClientToken are idempotent.

func (*Client) CreateEventSource

func (c *Client) CreateEventSource(ctx context.Context, params *CreateEventSourceInput, optFns ...func(*Options)) (*CreateEventSourceOutput, error)

Creates an EventSource, which forwards events from an origin (an AWS service or another account) onto an event bus. The bus must be ACTIVE. Retries carrying the same ClientToken are idempotent.

func (*Client) CreateSubscriber

func (c *Client) CreateSubscriber(ctx context.Context, params *CreateSubscriberInput, optFns ...func(*Options)) (*CreateSubscriberOutput, error)

Creates a subscriber on an event bus, which delivers matching events to the configured target. The bus must be ACTIVE. Retries carrying the same ClientToken are idempotent.

func (*Client) DeleteEventBus

func (c *Client) DeleteEventBus(ctx context.Context, params *DeleteEventBusInput, optFns ...func(*Options)) (*DeleteEventBusOutput, error)

Deletes an event bus. Deletion is asynchronous: the bus moves to DELETING and disappears when complete (see the EventBusDeleted waiter). A bus with subscribers or event sources cannot be deleted.

func (*Client) DeleteEventSource

func (c *Client) DeleteEventSource(ctx context.Context, params *DeleteEventSourceInput, optFns ...func(*Options)) (*DeleteEventSourceOutput, error)

Deletes an EventSource. Forwarding from its origin stops.

Returns the named resource policy attached to an event bus. Fails with ResourceNotFoundException when the event bus or the named policy does not exist.

func (*Client) ListEventBuses

func (c *Client) ListEventBuses(ctx context.Context, params *ListEventBusesInput, optFns ...func(*Options)) (*ListEventBusesOutput, error)

Lists the event buses visible to the caller: buses the account owns and buses shared with it through AWS RAM. Shared entries carry identity fields only (Name, EventBusArn, EventBusAccountId); owned entries carry every summary field. Set EventBusAccountId to scope the list to one owner account.

func (*Client) ListEventSources

func (c *Client) ListEventSources(ctx context.Context, params *ListEventSourcesInput, optFns ...func(*Options)) (*ListEventSourcesOutput, error)

Lists EventSources as summaries. By default the list spans the EventSources the caller account owns; set EventBusArn to scope it to one bus. Use DescribeEventSource to retrieve full configuration.

func (*Client) ListResourcePolicies

func (c *Client) ListResourcePolicies(ctx context.Context, params *ListResourcePoliciesInput, optFns ...func(*Options)) (*ListResourcePoliciesOutput, error)

Lists the tags on an event bus, subscriber, or event source.

func (*Client) Options

func (c *Client) Options() Options

Options returns a copy of the client configuration.

Callers SHOULD NOT perform mutations on any inner structures within client config. Config overrides should instead be made on a per-operation basis through functional options.

func (*Client) PutEvents

func (c *Client) PutEvents(ctx context.Context, params *PutEventsInput, optFns ...func(*Options)) (*PutEventsOutput, error)

Publishes events to an event bus.

func (*Client) PutRawEvents

Publishes pre-shaped events to an event bus.

func (*Client) PutResourcePolicy

func (c *Client) PutResourcePolicy(ctx context.Context, params *PutResourcePolicyInput, optFns ...func(*Options)) (*PutResourcePolicyOutput, error)

Attaches a named resource policy to an event bus — the only resource type that supports policies; other resource ARNs are rejected. Each bus holds two named policies: "default" (customer-managed, full IAM policy language including Deny) and "AWS_RAM" (written exclusively by AWS Resource Access Manager to reflect resource shares). Both policies are evaluated on cross-account authorization; an explicit Deny in either overrides an Allow in the other. Operations that omit PolicyName target "default". A "default" policy that would grant public access is rejected with PublicPolicyException and is not attached; this check is always on and cannot be disabled.

func (*Client) RevokeResource

func (c *Client) RevokeResource(ctx context.Context, params *RevokeResourceInput, optFns ...func(*Options)) (*RevokeResourceOutput, error)

Revokes a subscriber or an EventSource. The bus owner calls this to withdraw a misbehaving resource attached to their bus. Revocation is terminal: there is no operation that clears it. A revoked resource refuses mutating operations with InvalidStateException; delete stays available for cleanup.

func (*Client) TagResource

func (c *Client) TagResource(ctx context.Context, params *TagResourceInput, optFns ...func(*Options)) (*TagResourceOutput, error)

Adds or replaces tags on an event bus, subscriber, or event source.

func (*Client) UntagResource

func (c *Client) UntagResource(ctx context.Context, params *UntagResourceInput, optFns ...func(*Options)) (*UntagResourceOutput, error)

Removes tags from an event bus, subscriber, or event source.

func (*Client) UpdateEventBus

func (c *Client) UpdateEventBus(ctx context.Context, params *UpdateEventBusInput, optFns ...func(*Options)) (*UpdateEventBusOutput, error)

Updates an event bus. The update is asynchronous: the bus moves to UPDATING and returns to ACTIVE when the change is applied. Fields omitted from the request are left unchanged.

func (*Client) UpdateEventSource

func (c *Client) UpdateEventSource(ctx context.Context, params *UpdateEventSourceInput, optFns ...func(*Options)) (*UpdateEventSourceOutput, error)

Updates an EventSource. Fields omitted from the request are left unchanged.
