Description: Distributed Internet Traffic Generator
 D-ITG (Distributed Internet Traffic Generator) is a platform capable to
 produce traffic at packet level accurately replicating appropriate stochastic
 processes for both IDT (Inter Departure Time) and PS (Packet Size) random
 variables (exponential, uniform, cauchy, normal, pareto, ...). D-ITG supports
 both IPv4 and IPv6 traffic generation and it is capable to generate traffic at
 network, transport, and application layer. We believe that D-ITG shows
 interesting properties when compared to other traffic generators.

 D-ITG (Distributed Internet Traffic Generator) è una piattaforma in grado
 di produrre traffico a livello di pacchetto, replicando accuratamente gli
 appropriati processi stocastici per variabili casuali (esponenziale,
 uniforme, Cauchy, normale, Pareto, ...) IDT (Inter Departure Time) e PS
 (Packet Size). D-ITG gestisce la generazione di traffico per IPv4 e IPv6 ed è
 in grado di generare traffico a livello di applicazione, trasporto e rete.
 Gli autori ritengono che D-ITG mostri proprietà interessanti quando
 confrontato con altri generatori di traffico.
