The ability to display TIFF images in a WIKI. This would allow the incorporation of physically scanned documents into the WIKI. The use of TIFF would require a [[http://www.tiffviewers.com/|TIFF viewer]]. 

What exactly is your feature request?

A browser can't handle tiff. And you already can attach a tiff file to a page. If you have registered some tiff viewer to that extension, the browser would download it and start the external viewer.

So what's missing?

You can use !EmbedObject if such a plugin is installed into your browser

When someone attach some images like as {{{attachment:hello.png}}} wiki just render it's url and if it is not a images {{{attachment:}}} is rendered as a download link. If some one attach some images with a 'tiff' extension or etc. it would be nice to show it's converted thumbnail images.... (with the ImageMagik ?) I think want to talk about it. :>

 just upload your converted image and use link markup.
